We implemented an email verification function for all ESRians to meet Privacy and Security standards. Email verification will help all ESRians maintain access to their accounts in the event that they become locked out. Here is a handy guide to verifying your account. 

All accounts, new or otherwise, will be asked to be verified. If you do not already have a verified email address, simply launching the ESR app will trigger a brief notification. This will serve as a reminder that you either have an active verification link in your inbox or that you need to take action to get an active verification link. 

 

New Accounts

Upon creating a new account, a verification email will be sent to your chosen email address. Simply go to that email, click the link and you are verified!

Existing Accounts Updating to 4.2 or beyond

If you are an existing ESR user who is updating their account to version 4.2, 4.3 or any future version, you will automatically receive a verification link in your inbox when you first launch the updated app. Simply go to that email, click the link and you are verified!

Expired Verification Email

After a few days, a verification email that we send you will expire. This means that you will need to request a new email be sent your way. To do so, follow these steps: 

  1. Open the ESR app
  2. On the Go Ride screen, tap the Helmet icon 
  3. Find the Confirm Your Email card and choose Resend
  4. A new verification email will be sent. Simply go to that email, click the link and you are verified!

Editing Your Email

You can always edit the email that we have on account. A typo in your email may be the reason that you aren't receiving a verification email. You can edit or update your email address by following these steps:

  1. Open ESR app
  2. On the Go Ride screen, tap the Helmet icon 
  3. Choose EDIT PROFILE
  4. Update your email address (it is only visible to you and will not appear publicly on your profile)
  5. Choose SAVE
  6. A new verification email will be sent. Simply go to that email, click the link and you are verified!

Check your inbox for your confirmation email to continue to use the ESR app.
