Carry the device upright!

The lean angle is displayed in degrees to a maximum of 75 degrees to the right (+75) and to the left (-75).

To collect the most accurate lean angle reading, carry the device upright (vertically) in your pocket. Immobilized the device in your breast pocket so it doesn't move around, but rather moves with you.

Note: CRASHLIGHT® does not employ lean angle to detect a crash.

Calibrating Compass

ESR relies on the compass to calculate the lean angle. To ensure Apple's compass is working correctly, you may need to calibrate before you ride.

Consult Apple Support for tips on using the compass
